The EY Split – September 22

For longstanding client, Source Global Research we have been proactively positioning the company and its spokespeople as experts on the proposed split of EY’s audit and consulting business.

Initially announced in May of this year, ProServ had secured 14 pieces of national and international coverage for Source since this point, with eight coming in September leading up to, during, and after the announcement that EY’s bosses had approved a plan to split the Big Four firm into separate audit and advisory businesses, with the radical break-up proposal proceeding to a vote of 13,000 partners.

In summary, as a result of our approach, Source has appeared in a wide range of titles this month including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Tax and The Financial Times.

In another Wall Street Journal feature, Fiona Czerniawska, CEO of Source pointed out that the majority of funds spent on splitting EY’s audit and consulting business would go toward marketing, new employees and office space. Fiona added: “EY is going to have to carve out something that’s distinctive and different in an environment which is already very crowded.”
