Race to emission zero – August 22

SAP and our longstanding client, management and technology consultancy BearingPoint announced earlier this year that they were joining forces on carbon and environmental footprint solutions.

More recently, ProServ has worked with a national freelance journalist to supply comments from Stuart Higgins, Partner at BearingPoint for a feature in The Guardian, looking at the six ways cutting-edge tech can help monitor sustainability.

The piece, which was published in July and sponsored by SAP, quoted Stuart Higgins as saying:

Technologies such as QR codes, micro-printing, holograms, and chemical fingerprinting can identify genuine products and materials at source. Manufactured goods can then be given unique serial numbers and an associated digital certificate of origin, often within a blockchain for added security, to assure authenticity.”

This article has supported the collaboration between SAP and BearingPoint as they advance the design and development of leading-edge solutions for customers to help them reach zero emissions. Together with the launch of the SAP® Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises solution, SAP solutions for sustainability, and BearingPoint’s long-standing experience with emission calculations in the market, the companies are developing innovative solutions to address customer concerns about environmental footprinting across their value chain.
