FT – UK’s Leading Management Consultants – Feb 2022

Two of our long-standing clients (Source Global Research & BearingPoint) have been featured across three separate articles in this year’s Financial Times UK’s Leading Management Consultants Special Report.

First, Fiona Czerniawska of Source Global Research was interviewed and quoted in a piece written by Sarah Murray, looking at how consulting firms are trying to develop their skills to meet the rising demand from clients seeking sustainability advice. Fiona says in this piece: “They need an awful lot more people and it’s coming at a time when they’re not just short of sustainability skills – they’re short of every kind of skill.”

This piece also quoted recent Source research, that found one in five consulting firms said they were turning work away because they did not have the right skills.

Then, in addition to Fiona being quoted in a piece written by Michael O’Dwyer on Government’s use of consultants, BearingPoint’s Stewart John’s provided a number of views, including how the government awards contracts through frameworks.

Stewart said in this piece: “We support frameworks but the quantity of them has gone through the roof in the last year or two. The government has said that it intends to simplify the bidding process to help small and medium firms. However, if the changes do not work, some firms may avoid bidding altogether.”

Finally, we also provided Source data to Michael O’Dwyer for this piece on the UK’s technology consulting market – which found that the market grew by more than 9% in 2021.
