Always good to return from annual leave on 1^st September and see the fruits of our labour (before I left) on the front page of the Financial Times. But, just to provide an even bigger boost (as if the front page wasn’t enough!), this piece was also discussed in the daily FT News Briefing Podcast, where Source received a namecheck for its data by the excellent Stephen Foley, and the full article also appeared in The Australian Financial Review.

This news feature included the latest survey of technology consulting clients from our client, Source Global Research which found only one in three IT transformation projects overseen by external advisers had been wholly successful.

The feature also carried comments from Nicholas Jotischky, head of market trends at Source, who said there was a growing desire to cut out middlemen: “There’s a feeling of, why can’t I just go straight to a technology firm or sub-vendor with whom the Big Four is partnered?”

He then added: “The Big Four firms still do very well, with 55 per cent of clients still saying they’re going to use them more in the next 12 months. It’s just a long way down from the 80 per cent a year before. Competition is hotting up.”
