In the City…AM – Nov 25

In addition to successfully pitching sustainability data to The Financial Times on 5th November, we also placed three pieces in City AM this month for our client, Source Global Research.

First, we pitched Source’s Tax Advisory Report to City AM’s professional services correspondent, which led to this news piece on 12th November. The report found that trade wars and tariffs, largely driven by the new US administration, have led to a significant acceleration in the growth of tax advisory services – as the rate of growth in 2024 (3.8%) is expected to almost double in 2025 to 6%.

Second, we were approached by City AM to comment on the big issues/trends in the professional services sector. Fiona Czerniawska, Source’s CEO said in this piece that: “Private equity firms are clearly targeting this industry and have significant amounts to invest; they can inject capital quickly, certainly compared to the time and complexity of deals, listing, [and more].”

Finally, we successfully pitched Source’s Tech Consulting Report to City AM, which resulted in a dedicated news story regarding the findings, with comments from Nick  Jotischky, head of market trends at Source. Nick explained in the piece that: “Technology buyers highlight that they expect price rises because consulting firms will use more proprietary tools such as custom-built AI models and data analysis engines to meet their business challenges.”

He then added: “But they also recognise that prices will increase because of greater buy-in from senior levels of the organisation and that the work will be of strategic importance.”
